Diabetes ChallengeA Day in the Saddle - A World of Good.Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity and lack of exercise appear to play roles. For more than 60 years, the American Diabetes Association has made great progress in the fight against diabetes. The American Diabettes Association can continue to make a difference in the lives of the 18 million Americans who suffer from this life-threatening disease. The generosity of our donors is vital as efforts continue in the search for a cure, helping people with diabetes, and investing in the health of future generations. Here are some examples of how you can help: - Make a Donation
- Make a Planned Gift
- Donate Your Vehicle
- Sponsor a Diabetes Project
- Become a Corporate Friend
- Participate in an Event
- Volunteer your Time and Energy
